  • Size H/8 crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Yarn needle

Gauge
Each pattern rep = 4 1/2 inches; 5 rows = 3 inches

Each row requires 24 yds yarn.

Afghan
Foundation row: Ch 280, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next ch, ch 3, sc in next ch, sk next 3 chs, dc in each of next 2 chs, ch 3, sc in next ch, *ch 3, dc in each of next 3 chs, ch 3, sc in next ch, [ch 3, dc in each of next 2 chs, sk next 3 chs, sc in next ch] twice **, [sk next 3 chs, dc in each of next 2 chs, ch 3, sc in next ch] twice, rep from * 8 times, rep from * to **, fasten off, turn.

Row 1: Attach next color with sc in first ch sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, [sc, ch 3, 2 dc] in next ch sp, *sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, dc in each of next 3 dc, ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, [2 dc, ch 3, sc] in each of next 2 ch-3 sps**, [sc, ch 3, 2 dc] in each of next 2 ch-3 sps, rep from * 8 more times, rep from * to **, fasten off, turn.

Row 2: Attach next color with sc in first ch-3 sp at edge of piece, *[2 dc, ch 3, sc] in each of next 2 ch-3 sps, ch 3, dc in each of next 3 dc, ch 3, [sc, ch 3, 2 dc] in each of next 2 ch-3 sps **, sc in each of next 2 ch-3 sps, rep from * 9 times, ending last rep at **, sc in last ch-3 sp, fasten off, turn.
