Colorful Coasters

Entertain in festive style or brighten your kitchen décor with a set of cheery coasters stitched in a rain-bow of colors!
Finished Size
4 1/2" across.
Materials for one
- Worsted yarn -- scraps of two contrasting colors
- Tapestry needle
- G double-ended hook or hook size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge
4 sts = 1" 7 rows = 1".
Coaster
Row 1: With first color, ch 8, pull up lp in second ch from hook, pull up lp in each ch across, turn. (8 lps on hook)
Row 2: With second color, work lps off hook, do not turn.
Row 3: Skip first vertical bar, pull up lp under each horizontal bar across, turn.
Row 4: With first color, work lps off hook, do not turn.
Row 5: Skip first vertical bar, pull up lp under each horizontal bar across, turn.
Rows 6-120: Repeat rows 2-5 consecutively, ending with row 4.
Row 121: Skip first vertical bar, sl st under each horizontal bar across, do not turn; leaving lps on hook, pull up lp in end of every other row across, yo, pull through all lps on hook, ch 1. Leaving long end for sewing, fasten off.
Sew first and last rows together.
