Remember the Day Bookmark
The delicate bullion stitch and silver beads accent this lovely bookmark, a perfect gift for the bride's attendants and special family members.

Materials
- South Maid Art. D54 by Coats & Clark or size 10 crochet cotton:
- 15 yds. White #1
- 15 yds. French Rose #493
- Starburst #095 blending filament by Kreinik Mfg. Co. or metallic thread
- 98 silver 3mm beads
- Beading needle
- Fabric stiffener
- Crochet tatting hook
Basic Stitches
Ch, sl st, sc, dc.
Note
Work entire pattern with one strand each white or pink (French rose) and metallic thread held together throughout. This will be referred to as "pink" or "white."
First Motif
Note: For bullion st, yo 8 times, insert hook in ch sp, yo, pull lp through, yo, pull through all lps on hook, ch 1.
With white, ch 24, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 1, sc in first 5 chs changing to pink in last st made, ch 3, 5 bullion sts (see Note) in next ch, *ch 3 changing to white in last ch (see illustration), sc in next 5 chs changing to pink in last st made, ch 3, 5 bullion sts in next ch; repeat from * around, ch 3, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. (20 sc, 20 bullion sts, 8 ch sps made)

Second Motif
With white, ch 24, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 1, sc in first 5 chs changing to pink in last st made, ch 3, 3 bullion sts in next ch; joining to bottom of last Motif made, drop lp from hook, insert hook in center bullion of any 5-bullion group on last Motif, pull dropped lp through, 2 bullion sts in same ch on this Motif, (ch 3 changing to white in last ch, sc in next 5 chs changing to pink in last st made, ch 3, 5 bullion sts in next ch) around, ch 3, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
Joining to opposite edge from last joining on last Motif, repeat Second Motif two more times for a total of four joined Motifs.
Edging
Rnd 1: Working around entire outer edge, join white with sc in top of center bullion st at one end of Motifs, [ch 5, dc next 2 ch sps tog, ch 5, sc in top of center bullion of next bullion group, ch 5, *(dc next 2 chs sps tog, ch 5) 2 times, sc in top of center bullion of next bullion group, ch 5; repeat from * 2 more times, dc next 2 ch sps tog, ch 5], sc in center bullion st at next end; repeat between [ ], join with sl st in first sc. (26 ch sps made)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 7 sc in each of first 3 ch sps, *2 sc in next ch sp, ch 3, sl st in top of last sc made, ch 5, sl st in same st, ch 3, sl st in same st, 2 sc in same ch sp, (7 sc in each of next 2 ch sps, 2 sc in next ch sp, ch 3, sl st in top of last sc made, ch 5, sl st in same st, ch 3, sl st in same st, 2 sc in same ch sp) 2 times, 7 sc in each of next 3 ch sps, ch 3, sl st in top of last sc made, ch 5, sl st in same st, ch 3, sl st in same st*, 7 sc in each of next 3 ch sps; repeat between **, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
Finishing
Apply fabric stiffener to Bookmark according to manufacturer's instructions. Let dry completely.
With beading needle, thread beads onto white thread, join white with sl st in center ch lp at bottom of Bookmark, (pull up next bead, ch 1) 28 times, ch 6, sl st in first ch of ch-6 to form ring, *(pull up next bead, ch 1) 7 times, sc in ring; repeat from * 5 more times, (pull up next bead, ch 1) 28 times, sl st in same ch lp on Bookmark. Fasten off.
