6 inches x 59 inches

MATERIALS
  • 2 1/2 oz. each of black, purple, dk. pink, yellow and green worsted Click here for larger image.acrylic yarn
  • H/5mm hook or hook size needed to obtain gauge

GAUGE
For Base, 15 dc and 14 ch sps = 5 1/2 inches; 8 dc rows =5 inches.

BASIC STITCHES
Ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc

SCARF
Base
Row 1: With black, ch 32, dc in sixth ch from hook, (ch 1, skip next ch, dc in next ch) across, turn. (15 dc, 14 ch sps made)
Rows 2–94: Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch-1 sp), skip next ch sp, dc in next st, (ch 1, skip next ch sp, dc in next st) across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.

Frills

Row 1: Turn Base horizontally, working around post of dc, join purple with sc around second dc on row 1, hdc around same st, ch 1, (dc, ch 1) 3 times around each second dc across next 92 rows, (hdc, sc) around second dc of last row. Fasten off.
Row 2: Join dk. pink with sc around fourth dc on row 1, hdc around same st, ch 1, (dc, ch 1) 3 times around each fourth dc across next 92 rows, (hdc, sc) around fourth dc of last row. Fasten off.
Row 3: Join yellow with sc around sixth dc on row 1, hdc around same st, ch 1, (dc, ch 1) 3 times around each sixth dc across next 92 rows, (hdc, sc) around sixth dc of last row. Fasten off.
Row 4: Join green with sc around eighth dc on row 1, hdc around same st, ch 1, (dc, ch 1) 3 times around each eighth dc across next 92 rows, (hdc, sc) around eighth dc of last row. Fasten off.
Row 5: Join yellow with sc around 10th dc on row 1, hdc around same st, ch 1, (dc, ch 1) 3 times around each 10th dc across next 92 rows, (hdc, sc) around tenth dc of last row. Fasten off.
Row 6: Join dk. pink with sc around 12th dc on row 1, hdc around same st, ch 1, (dc, ch 1) around each 12th dc across next 92 rows, (hdc, sc) around 12th dc of last row. Fasten off.
Row 7: Join purple with sc around 14th dc on row 1, hdc around same st, ch 1, (dc, ch 1) 3 times around each 14th dc across next 92 rows, (hdc, sc) around 14th dc of last row. Fasten off.
Rnd 8: Working around entire outer edge, join green with sc in  first st of last row on Base, 2 sc in each ch and in end of each row around with 3 sc in each corner, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
