Pattern Note
Join rnds with a sl st unless otherwise stated.

Scarf
Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 60, sl st to join to form a ring, ch 4 (counts as first dc, ch 1 throughout), sk 1 ch, [dc in next ch, ch 1, sk 1 ch] rep around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-4. (30 ch-1 sps; 30 dc)
Rnd 2 (RS): Ch 4, [dc in next dc, ch 1] rep around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-4. Rep Rnd 2 until hers measures 57 inches and his measures 63 inches or to desired length. At the end of last rnd, fasten off.

Fringe Finishing
Cut 84 strands of yarn each 13 inches long. Fold end of scarf flat across, [fold 6 strands in half, insert hook in ch-1 sp, draw fold through to form a lp, draw cut ends through lp on hook, pull gently to secure] rep a total of 14 times across each end of scarf.

Tassel Finishing
Cut 2 strands each 10 inches long and set aside. Wind yarn around 6-inch edge of heavy cardboard 50 times. Pass first 10-inch length through center top under strands, knot ends to secure. Cut opposite ends of yarn strands, remove from cardboard. With 2nd 10-inch length, wrap several times around tassel 1/3 the way down from top tie, knot to secure.
Weave a length of yarn through end of scarf, pull to gather closed, knot to secure, fasten off. Sew tassel to bottom of scarf. Rep in same manner on opposite end of scarf.
