Welcome to my crochet world! I have been fortunate to be editor of Crochet World magazine for a year now, and beginning with this issue, I will be sharing the production of this newsletter with my colleague, Crochet! Editor Carol Alexander. I will be writing every third newsletter, with Carol writing the other two. This will enable us to come to you more often with lots of crochet tips, stories and patterns. It's great to be able to combine two of my favorite pastimes -- writing and crochet!

This is the time of year when I begin to think about all those crocheted gifts I'm going to need in the months ahead. Time to start now! The focus of this issue is a variety of patterns to give you a good head start on your gift list with a bit of international flavor in all the projects.
