Materials
- Medium (worsted) weight yarn: 2 oz (140 yds, 56g white; 1/2 oz (35 yds, 14g) each blue, dark purple, lime green and raspberry
- Size H/8/5 mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- Tapestry needle
Gauge
1 pattern rep = 3 inches
Pattern Stitch
Cluster (cl): Keeping last lp of each dc on hook, dc in 3 sts indicated, yo and draw through all 4 lps on hook.
Instructions
- With white, ch 83.
- Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook (beg 2 sk chs count as a dc); *dc in next 3 chs, *cl (see Pattern Stitch) in next 3 chs; dc in next 3 chs, 3 dc in next ch; rep from * to last 4 chs; dc in next 3 chs, 2 dc in last ch; change to blue by drawing lp through; cut white; turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as a dc on this and following rows), dc in first dc; *working in front lps (see Stitch Guide) only, dc in next 3 dc, cl; dc in next 3 dc, 3 dc in next dc; rep from * to last 3 dc and beg 2 sk chs; dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in 2nd ch of beg 2 sk chs; change to white; cut blue; turn.
- Row 3: Ch 3, dc in first dc; *working in back lps only, dc in next 3 dc, cl; dc in next 3 dc, 3 dc in next dc; rep from * to last 3 dc and turning ch-3; dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in 3rd ch of turning ch-3; change to dark purple; cut white; turn.
- Row 4: Ch 3, dc in first dc; *working in front lps only, dc in next 3 dc, cl; dc in next 3 dc, 3 dc in next dc; rep from * to last 3 dc and turning ch-3; dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in 3rd ch of turning ch-3; change to white; cut dark purple; turn.
- Rows 5-16: Working 1 row of each color, rep rows 3 and 4 in following color sequence: white, lime green, white, raspberry, white, blue, white, dark purple, white, lime green, white, raspberry. At end of row 16, change to white.
- Row 17: Ch 3, dc in first dc; *working in back lps only, dc in next 3 dc, cl; dc in next 3 dc, 3 dc in next dc; rep from * to last 3 dc and turning ch-3; dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in 3rd ch of turning ch-3.
- Fasten off and weave in all ends.
Finishing
With tapestry needle and matching yarn, sew side seam.
