Great Product Finds
The moment you touch this yarn you'll start dreaming of all the lacy projects you'll want to crochet! This light, brushed mohair blend feels totally weightless; it's almost like crocheting a cloud! Although listed as a lace-weight yarn, each 100-gram ball boasts 656-yards of lacy mohair loveliness. Fashion Kid Light from Schachenmayr is not only affordable, but with so much yardage, you'll need only one ball for most scarf, cowl and shawlette patterns. As with most brushed yarns, ripping out your work can be a challenge, so practice new stitches with scrap yarn until you feel comfortable before beginning your project. Also, try using a larger hook, which will not only bring out the beauty of this yarn but will make it easier to crochet mistakes. Fashion Kid Light comes in six colors including this luscious shell pink aptly named pearl. Our lacy sample was crocheted with an H/8/5mm hook and would make a lovely shoulder wrap or cowl light enough for the cool days of spring.
